RBI Monetary Policy Committee Holds Repo Rate at 6.00% — Accommodative Stance Maintained

The Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) voted 5:1 to hold the repo rate at 6.00% while maintaining an accommodative monetary policy stance. The reverse repo rate stands at 3.35%. MPC projected FY27 real GDP growth at 7.1% and CPI inflation at 4.2%. The MPC was constituted under Section 45ZB of the RBI Act, 1934.

ISRO Successfully Deploys GSAT-N3 Communication Satellite in Geostationary Orbit

ISRO's LVM3-M4 mission successfully deployed GSAT-N3 into geostationary transfer orbit from the Second Launch Pad, SDSC SHAR. GSAT-N3 carries Ka-band high-throughput satellite (HTS) transponders with 100 Gbps capacity and will provide broadband services across rural India and maritime zones under the BharatNet Satellite component.

Ministry of Environment Notifies Plastic Waste Management Amendment Rules 2026

Cabinet Approves Amendment to the Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan Framework

The Union Cabinet approved the Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan (SCSP) Statutory Framework Bill to be tabled in Parliament, making SCSP allocations proportional to SC population (16.6%) mandatory in all Central Ministries' annual plans. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi Appointed as India's Representative to UN Military Staff Committee
